Second-alarm raised for a chimney fire in a two-story home in Torrington
Torrington police say a chimney fire was reported on Farmstead Lane Saturday night.
According to police, multiple 911 calls were made reporting fire visible through the roof.
Officials confirmed when they were on scene and reported a significant volume of fire on the second floor.
Police say they escalated it to a second alarm and requested mutual aid from Drakeville and Harwinton Westside Volunteer Fire Departments.
They say the fire was under control within 31 minutes and no injuries were reported.
The number of people displaced has not been confirmed.
According to police, the investigation remains ongoing.
