6 newborn puppies found abandoned near trash bin at New Haven condo complex
Six newborn puppies were found abandoned near a trash bin at a condo complex in New Haven and tragically, one of the puppies has died.
The Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter said the six puppies, which are estimated to be less than one day old, were reportedly found by a good Samaritan abandoned in a basket near the communal trash bin at the condo complex on Lexington Avenue.
According to the animal shelter, one of the puppies did not survive. Four of the puppies are stable and one is fighting for its life. The puppies are being taken care of by a dedicated rescue partner and are safe.
Anyone with information about the person or people responsible for leaving the puppies outside should contact the animal shelter.
