
A woman from Massachusetts is seriously injured after a head-on crash on Route 156 in Lyme on Monday evening.
State police said a 46-year-old woman from Hampden, Mass., was traveling south on Route 156 when she crossed over into the northbound lane during a right curve and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram.
After the crash, the woman’s vehicle spun out and ended up in the southbound lane of travel, troopers added.
The woman was transported to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar for serious injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to Middlesex Shoreline Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
