Woman in critical condition after being shot in Hartford, police say

A woman was hospitalized and is in critical condition on Tuesday after she was shot in Hartford, according to Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert.

Officers were called to the area of Oakland Terrace for a report of a shooting at 11:55 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman in her fifties with a gunshot wound, Boisvert said.

The woman was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical, but stable condition, according to Boisvert.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Divisions are investigating the shooting, Boisvert said.
