
One suspect was arrested after a stabbing in Meriden early Saturday morning, according to Meriden Police.
At approximately 4:57 a.m., the Meriden Police Department received a call about a stabbing on Summary Street.
Upon arrival, officers found one victim with multiple non-fatal stab wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital.
The police located the suspect, 36-year-old Chyquaan Adams, and took him into custody without incident.
After investigation, police found that there was a dispute between Adams and the victim earlier in the evening. Adams then returned to the victim’s RV without invitation and refused to leave.
A physical altercation began between Adams and the victim, and Adams then stabbed the victim and fled on foot from the RV, according to police.
Adams is being charged with home invasion, assault in the first degree, carrying a dangerous weapon, criminal trespass in the first degree and disorderly conduct.
He is being held on a $750,000 bond.
