An investigation has been opened regarding an election matter in Hamden, according to an announcement Mayor Adam Sendroff made Tuesday.
A deputy registrar of voters notified Sendoff on Sunday that petition sheets submitted by at least one candidate seeking ballot access could not be located, according to the his office.
The mayor contacted the Connecticut Secretary of the State’s Office, the State Election Enforcement Commission and the Hamden Police Department upon learning this information.
The Hamden Police Department has opened an investigation, according to the mayor’s office.
