
One man was pronounced dead after a boating-related incident in Stamford on Sunday afternoon.
At around 3 p.m., DEEP Environmental Conservation Police, Stamford Police and the Stamford Fire Department responded to a boating incident in the Stamford harbor.
An adult male fell of his boat while tying off his mooring in the harbor.
The male was rescued from the water and emergency personnel performed life-saving efforts while he was transported to the hospital. However, the man was pronounced dead.
The State Office of the Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death.
EnCon Police are investigating the incident.
There is no apparent criminal aspect at this time.
