National Doughnut Day 2026: Where to find free and discounted doughnuts

If you’re looking for an excuse to treat yourself, you’ll be happy to know that Friday, June 5, is National Doughnut Day.
The annual celebration always happens on the first Friday in June. The first-ever National Doughnut Day took place in Chicago in 1938 to honor the history of the Salvation Army’s Donut Lassies. This group of women were sent to France in 1917 to care for wounded soldiers and provide a boost of morale in doughnut form.
Today, many chains throughout the U.S., including Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’, mark the day with deals. Here’s a list of places where you can score free and discounted doughnuts:
7-Eleven
Members of 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards can score classic glazed doughnuts for just 50 cents each at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations nationwide on June 5.
Shoppers can also pick up packs of 7-Select mini doughnuts for $1.
Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken
Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken is celebrating with a sweet bonus for customers who spend $15 or more between June 5 and 7.
Guests can receive a free Korean doughnut with dipping sauce when ordering online or through the restaurant’s app using the promo code DONUTDAY.
Duck Donuts
Duck Donuts customers can get a free classic doughnut in-store on June 5. The offer is limited to one per guest. No purchase necessary.
Dunkin’
On June 5, get a free classic doughnut with the purchase of any beverage, while supplies last.
Gopuff
Gopuff shoppers can save 20% when they buy any two Crave Shoppe products, including treats like glazed doughnuts, red velvet glazed doughnut holes, cinnamon churro doughnut holes, and more.
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme is offering two ways to celebrate National Doughnut Day.
Customers who stop in to a participating shop on June 5 can get a free doughnut of their choice (excluding limited-edition varieties). No purchase required.
Additionally, get a dozen original glazed for $2 when you buy any dozen in person, online or for pick-up or delivery. For online orders, place two dozen in your cart and use promo code BOGO2.
Lidl
myLidl rewards members can grab a free bakery doughnut on June 5 at participating stores, while supplies last. No purchase is necessary, and the single-use offer can be redeemed through the myLidl app.
Paris Baguette
Paris Baguette rewards members can enjoy a free sugar mochi doughnut or small twist doughnut with a qualifying purchase on June 5.
Voodoo Doughnut
On National Donut Day, the first 100 customers at Voodoo Doughnut shops will get a free foldable tote bag with their purchase. All doughnuts will be pink on the holiday.
Additionally, fan club members can score a free doughnut, excluding specialties, on June 5 (no purchase required) at participating locations, while supplies last. Check your emails!
