Moped driver dead after early morning crash in Middlebury
Middlebury First Selectman Jennifer Mahr says a moped driver is dead after an accident involving a truck on Middlebury Road early Saturday morning.
She says the driver of moped died after being transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“Region 15 will be announcing support services for affected students shortly. As a mother of my own recent PHS grad, I am heartbroken for this loss and I would ask that as our community rallies around this family, we do so at their pace, not ours.” Mahr said.
