Kayaker rescued by first responder in Connecticut River

Old Saybrook first responders rescued a kayaker from the mouth of the Connecticut River Saturday morning.

They say the kayaker was in the water for almost half an hour when officers were able to rescue and transport the victim.

Old Lyme, Westbrook and DEEP were on scene for marine assistance as well.
