
More than 23,000 cases of focaccia bread are being recalled because they could contain metal fragments, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The bread was distributed to Connecticut and nine other states, including Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, and Virginia.
Bakkover initiated the voluntary recall. The company determined the metal fragments were found in roasted tomatoes provided by a supplier, according to the FDA.
The focaccia was sold at Trader Joe’s and other stores.
