Danielson man arrested for a 2020 sexual assault

State police say a Danielson man was arrested Thursday for a sexual assault incident that occurred in Killingly, 2020.

64-year-old Roberto Gonzalez is being charged with first-degree sexual assault, unlawful restraint and third-degree assault.

Investigators say they located a sexual assault kit and a recorded phone call where they say Gonzalez made statements to the victim about the incident.

Gonzalez was arraigned at Danielson Superior Court on Friday and released on a $125,000 cash or no surety bond with a no-contact order in place.
