
An “apparent pipe bomb” was found in a recently vacated apartment on Wednesday, Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.
Officers were called to 127 Wyllys St. just after 1 p.m. for a report of an apparent pipe bomb found. The building was evacuated as a precaution, according to Boisvert.
The Hartford Police Bomb Squad responded and “made the device safe,” Boisvert said.
No injuries were reported.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes, Crime Scene and Intelligence Divisions have all assumed the investigation, which is ongoing.
