Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-91 North in Windsor
A motorcyclist has died after a crash on Interstate 91 North in Windsor on Memorial Day.
State police said 26-year-old Juan Miguel Martinez, of Mass., was driving a motorcycle on I-91 North near exit 39 and 41 around 8:30 p.m. when he hit the back left side of a Toyota Tacoma.
After the crash, Martinez went into the paved median and then hit the jersey median barrier. He was then thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the highway, according to troopers.
He was taken to Hartford Hospital to be treated for serious injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was not injured.
