Willimantic police ask public to avoid certain area due to bomb threat

The Willimantic Police Department is asking people to avoid part of Valley Street because of an “active alleged bomb threat,” according to police.

Police said on Wednesday morning that the public should avoid Valley Street between West Avenue and Mansfield Avenue while they investigate.

The threat is under investigation.
