1 hospitalized and 1 firefighter sustained minor burns after fire in Middletown

One person was hospitalized and a firefighter sustained minor burns after a fire in Middletown on Sunday night.

The Westfield fire department responded to a fire on East Street around 8:21 p.m.

Four people were able to evacuate during the fire. While one person was sent to the hospital, the others were not injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Westfield Fire Marshals Office.
