One person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Westport early Saturday morning.
The Westport Fire Department said firefighters responded to I-95 northbound, just north of Exit 18, at around 1:30 a.m. for a reported crash with injuries.
Officials said two vehicles were involved, and both sustained extensive damage. One of the cars left the road, traveled about 50 feet into a wooded area, and came to rest on its roof.
The drivers, who were the only occupants of the vehicles, were evaluated at the scene. One person was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Firefighters remained at the scene for about an hour, with the last units clearing just after 2:30 a.m.
