Friday fire displaces two in Ellington

Ellington Volunteer Fire Department officials say two people are displaced after a fire Friday afternoon on Sprucewood Drive.

They say the fire became a multi-alarm fire and requested mutual aid from the Crystal Lake Fire Department, Somers Fire Department, Ellington Ambulance, Broad Brook Fire Department, the Town of Vernon Fire Department and Tolland Fire Department.

Officials say the fire was contained and two people were displaced.
