A winter weather advisory has been issues for most of the state.

Snow is expected to develop from late morning to midafternoon, west to east.
A coating to two inches is most likely in the northern part of the state, with a coating expected at the shoreline.
Precipitation changes to a cold rain which will freeze on contact to most untreated surfaces inland this afternoon and evening. Slick surfaces are possible.
The highs today are in the low to mid 30s.

By tonight, the precipitation should end, as tomorrow looks partially sunny with highs around 50 degrees.
