The East Hampton Fire Department says two people were injured in a fire at Markham Meadows Campground Saturday morning after a two-alarm fire.
One of the victims was transported to the hospital while the other has unknown injuries.
According to the department, two camper trailers and a nearby propane tank caught fire.
They say the fire started in the wall of one of the campers and the resident attempted to put it out when the wind picked it up and lit the next camper on fire.
A nearby, 250-pound propane tank also caught fire and, according to the East Hampton Fire Marshal Robert Rainville, had to be drained as well.
The hazmat team is on site, damages are estimated to be around $150,000.
Marlborough Volunteer Fire Department and Colchester Fire and EMS have dispatched mutual aid to assist in the fire.
