Tweed-New Haven Airport re-adds Uber to authorized rideshare options
You can now once again take an Uber to Tweed-New Haven Airport. The airport has re-added Uber to its authorized rideshare options.
According to the airport, there is now an operating agreement with Uber that allows the airport to have designated pickup and drop-off locations.
“The addition of Uber follows ongoing discussions with local and state leaders regarding transportation access and reflects HVN’s efforts to improve connectivity for passengers while supporting more organized traffic patterns around the airport,” the airport said in a press release.
Passengers can request rides through the Uber app and access the designated pickup and drop-off locations starting on June 17.
In addition to Uber, Lyft is also an active rideshare provider. Additional transportation information can be found here.
This announcement comes years after Uber stopped service to and from the airport.
