
A teenager was taken to the hospital after being pulled from Candlewood Lake by some of his friends and a Good Samaritan on Saturday.
State Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection Police responded to a report of swimmers in distress in the lake in the afternoon.
According to EnCon Police, several people were swimming from an anchored boat to Chicken Rock when an 18-year-old male had difficulty and went underwater.
Investigators said four of the teen’s friends and a 15-year-old Good Samaritan helped pull the 18-year-old from the water and the 15-year-old performed CPR.
The 18-year-old who was pulled from the water and a 21-year-old who helped were transported to the hospital. Both were reportedly conscious and alert at the hospital.
