
A state trooper was arrested on Wednesday and charged with a computer crime.
Trooper First Class Marwing Pena turned himself in to Troop I.
He is charged with computer crime in the third degree, which is a Class D felony.
State police did not release infomation on what Pena is accused of doing, but according to Connecticut general statutes, a person can be charged with a computer crime for several reasons, including unauthorized access to a computer system, theft of computer services, interruption of computer services, misuse of computer system information, or destruction of computer equipment.
Pena, 36, of Glastonbury, was released on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to be in court on May 27.
