
A 73-year-old man who had been missing in Shelton for almost a week and a half was found dead on Monday, police said.
Christopher Taylor was last seen in the area of Booth Hill Road and Clinton Drive on Friday, Aug. 14. He was reported missing on Sunday, Aug. 16.
He was found dead on Monday after an “extensive, multi-agency search effort,” police said.
Police said they are investigating the circumstances around Taylor’s death. They did not say where he was found.
“The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), in coordination with the Shelton Police Department, is continuing to investigate this incident,” police said. “Shelton Police Detectives have been working around the clock and continue to utilize every available investigative resource as the investigation remains active.”
No additional details will be released as Taylor’s death is still under investigation, according to police.
