Route 1 in Branford closed after construction crew accidentally hits gas line
Route 1 in Branford is shut down on Friday morning after a construction crew accidentally struck a gas line, police said.
The road is closed in the area of Cumberland Farms and Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital, according to police.
All traffic is being diverted, police said.
No injuries were reported.
