
Police have identified the suspect and the victim of a fatal stabbing in West Haven over the weekend.
Officers responded to Meadowbrook Court around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a possible stabbing.
They found 35-year-old Robert Piccirillo in an apartment suffering from stab wounds. Piccirillo, of Branford, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, 24-year-old Wilkins Castillo, of West Haven, was also still in the apartment.
Castillo was taken into custody and charged with murder and two counts of risk of injury. He was held on $1 million bond.
Police called the stabbing an incident of “family violence.”
