
A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 395 North in Norwich early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to I-395 North by the exit 11 on-ramp around 3 a.m. for a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
Once state police arrived, they started CPR and the area was closed.
The pedestrian was transported to Backus Hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to firefighters.
Investigators have not released the pedestrian’s identity.
The collision is under investigation by state police.
