
A man was seriously injured after he was struck by a car that left the scene in Norwalk on Tuesday night, police said.
Norwalk police said they received multiple reports of a pedestrian struck by a car on Main Street just after 10 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from serious injuries in the roadway.
The man was treated on the scene before being relocated to Norwalk Hospital, according to police.
Police later learned that the collision occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Plymouth Avenue, and that the driver immediately fled the scene after striking the man.
The investigation is ongoing.
