
A man from Oxford has died in a head-on crash in Seymour on Friday night.
Officers were notified about a crash near the intersection of Great Hill Road and Southwest Road around 8:55 p.m.
When police arrived to the area, they said they found a 1930 Ford Model A and a Ford F350 pickup involved in a head-on truck.
The driver of the Ford Model A, later identified as 79-year-old Richard Dimauro, of Oxford, was found unresponsive by officers. Lifesaving measures were performed and he was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. Dimauro was later pronounced dead.
Investigators said the driver of the Ford F350 suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.
The crash is under investigation. At this time, the Connecticut State Police CARS Unit is assisting Seymour Police Department with their investigation.
