Ongoing search for missing person at Lake Hayward in East Haddam
State Police say one person is missing after officials responded to reports of an overturned canoe at Lake Hayward in East Haddam, Saturday night.
According to police, two males went out on the water before the canoe capsized.
They say one person was able to make it out of the water but the second person has not been located despite efforts from the fire department and CSP dive team.
Colchester Fire and Emergency Medical Services also responded to provide mutual aid.
The investigation is still ongoing and there is no more information available at this moment.
