What to Know

  • U.S. speed skater Jordan Stolz has already won two Olympic golds at the Milan Cortina Games, in the 500m and 1000m. Today, he’ll look to add a third when he competes in the men’s 1500m (10:30 a.m. ET).
  • The excitement has been building up to today’s women’s free skate (1 p.m. ET). All three U.S. figure skaters — dubbed the “Blade Angels” — are vying for individual medals, with Alysa Liu sitting in third after the short program.
  • It’s the women’s hockey matchup everyone’s been waiting for, as the U.S. and Canada face off for the gold medal (1:10 p.m. ET). The Canadians are the defending Olympic champions; Team USA last won in 2018.
  • Ski mountaineering gets underway today, making its Olympic debut with both the men’s and women’s sprints (3:50 a.m. ET). “Skimo,” the only new Olympic sport at Milan Cortina, combines uphill climbing, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing.
