Motorcyclist killed in crash on Route 189 in Granby
A motorcyclist has died after a crash on Route 189 in Granby Sunday night.
Officers were called to a report of a crash on Route 189 and Peck Orchard Road involving a motorcycle and a vehicle around 5:45 p.m.
Once in the area, police said they found a severely injured motorcyclist. He was transported to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar and later died of his injuries. He has been identified by police as 69-year-old Mark Floryan, of Tariffville.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured and remained on the scene.
The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad was called and is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Wilkins #267 at (860) 844-5335.
