Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in East Hartford

East Hartford police say a motorcyclist is in serious conditions after losing control and crashing Friday night.

They say officers responded to the scene and found the operator of the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and struck a utility pole on the opposite side of the road.

According to police, the driver was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The MTS Crash Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
