More than 300 Tolland residents are without power on Thursday morning as temperatures climb toward 100 degrees.
The Tolland Fire Department said a tree had pulled down primary and secondary wires on Sugar Hill Road, causing the outage.
As of 11 a.m., 324 Eversource customers did not have power, according to the utility’s outage map.
Firefighters said Sugar Hill Road is closed and will remain closed for “a while” in the area where the tree fell. Officials ask that drivers seek an alternate route.
No further details were immediately provided.
