Enjoy Saturday. We will see our mildest temperatures of the year so far.

The temperature will reach 50 in parts of the state on Saturday. The shoreline will be a bit cooler because of a breeze coming in off Long Island Sound.

The warmer weather doesn’t last. We will be back in the 30s by Sunday with show showers developing in the morning. The snow showers will last until about 12 p.m. A coating to an inch is expected.

The colder air sticks around Monday.

By Tuesday a low pressure system moves in, bringing us a wintry mix in the afternoon. That will eventually change over to rain by Tuesday night.

The rain ends Wednesday morning.

We’ll see more chilly rain by Friday.
