Three masked gunmen fired several shots at Runitup Boutique in Windsor in the early hours of Wednesday morning, police said.
The Windsor Police Department said it received a call from the business owner, John Gibson, around 8 a.m. Wednesday, who said he discovered gunshot damage on the outside of his building on Windsor Avenue.
“I said to myself, ‘Who did this?’” Gibson said. “‘Why did they do this?’ I didn’t quite understand what was going on.”
Police reviewed video footage from the business, which showed that around 1 a.m., three masked men fired shots at the building and then fled on foot toward Skitchewaug Street, police said.
Detectives found several expended shell casings in the parking lot, according to police.
“These things don’t normally happen in Windsor at all,” Gibson said. “I haven’t done anything to nobody at all … to want to come after me with bullets, guns, and shots and all.”
No one was injured from the shooting, police said.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Windsor Police at 860-688-5273.
