Man injured in Hartford shooting

A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Hartford early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Wethersfield Avenue around 2:00 a.m. for a ShotSpotter notification.

As officers were investigating, authorities said they learned a gunshot victim had been privately transported to an out-of-town hospital for treatment.

According to police, the 40-year-old male has a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
