Man dead after shooting on Albany Avenue: Hartford police

A man is dead after a shooting on Thursday evening, Hartford police said.

Police were called to Albany Avenue after receiving a report of a person shot just before 7 p.m.

Officers arrived at the scene and found an unresponsive man in his 40s suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not identified him at this time.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are investigating.
