Monday is the 130th Boston Marathon, the world’s oldest and most prestigious annual marathon. More than 30,000 runners from around the world will compete in the 26.2-mile race from Hopkinton to Copley Square.
The men’s wheelchair division starts things off at 9:06 a.m., followed by the women’s wheelchair division, handcycles and duo teams and the professional men’s and women’s divisions. After that, there will be six additional waves of runners staggered between 10 and 11:21 a.m. Several celebrity runners are participating, including Drew Carter, the play-by-play voice of Boston Celtics broadcasts on NBC Sports Boston.
