Large propane leak closes Main Street in East Haddam

A large propane leak has closed a section of Main Street in East Haddam on Monday morning.

Firefighters said the propane leak has closed Main Street from Landing Hill Road to Norwich Road/Route 82.

Lyme Fire Department said they have been called to the scene to help with the large propane tank leak.

Anyone nearby is urged to avoid the area.

There is no word on how long the area will be closed for.
