A Judge has cleared the way for the state to try Raul Valle on amended charges connected to the death of a Fairfield Prep student.
This time last year, a jury found Valle not guilty of murder in the stabbing death of Jimmy McGrath at a Shelton house party.
But the jury deadlocked on lesser charges of reckless manslaughter and assault.
Valle’s attorneys have since argued that trying him again would be double jeopardy, but the judge on Friday disagreed.
