The heat wave is continuing for one more day before cooler temperatures arrive for the end of the workweek.
Wednesday will be fairly hot and slightly humid. It will be mostly sunny with highs between 88-93.

There is a chance for a few thunderstorms in the afternoon.
A severe storm can’t be ruled out, but the risk is small. Gusty winds will be the biggest threat.

The timing of the front will bring the best chance of a stronger storm to southern Connecticut.
Another batch of rain will develop overnight into the morning on Thursday.
Any rain that is around will move out in the morning and temperatures will be much cooler. Highs will be in the 60s.
Friday looks fair with highs staying in the 60s.
Rain returns for the weekend.
