Hamden man in critical condition after motorcycle accident early Wednesday morning
One man is in critical condition after driving his motorcycle into a body of water early Wednesday morning.
At around 12:52 a.m. the New Haven Police Department responded to the intersection of Ella T Grasso Boulevard and Crescent Street for a motorcycle accident.
According to police, the motorcycle was traveling north on Ella T Grasso Boulevard through the intersection when it went off the road and into a nearby body of water.
The motorcycle driver was rescued from the water by emergency crews with the help of bystanders in the area.
The operator was identified as a 35-year-old male from Hamden.
He was transported to the hospital with critical life-threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
