Families displaced after a multifamily home fire early Sunday morning

Hartford Fire Department officials say three families are displaced are a fire was reported on Edgewood Street early Sunday morning.

They say crews encountered heavy fire conditions in a 3-story multifamily home.

According to officials, the fire was located on the second floor, it extended to the third floor, and was exposed to a neighboring structure.

There were no injuries reported but 3 families were displaced due to the fire and are being assisted by CT Transit and the American Red Cross.

This is still being investigated by the Hartford Fire Marshal’s Office and this is all the information at this time.

This is the second fire that occurred on the Edgewood Street in two days that left twelve residents displaced.
