Dirt bike rider critically injured after crash with car in Waterbury: Police

An 18-year-old from Waterbury is in critical condition after a crash between a car and a dirt bike, Waterbury officials said.

The crash happened Wednesday afternoon on Thomaston Avenue. Police said the dirt bike crashed into the car, and the car’s occupants were uninjured.

The dirt bike operator was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries, police said, and remains in critical condition.
