Crews battle flames at construction company in Barkhamsted

Crews are battling flames at a construction company in Barkhamsted on Monday morning.

The fire appears to be at Soraghan Construction LLC. on Old North Road.

Firefighters from additional towns including New Hartford have been brought in to help.

Town officials said the fire is causing road closures at Old North Road and Old New Hartford Road. Anyone nearby is urged to use alternate routes. Route 44 is moving, but drivers should expect delays in the area.

The extent of the damage is unclear at this time. It’s unclear what may have started the fire.
