Bristol police investigate hit-and-run crash

A man was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash in Bristol, police said.

The crash happened just after 9 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Emmett Street and Broad Street.

Police said a 63-year-old man was hit by the vehicle but was alert and conscious when first responders got to him. He was rushed to an area hospital by EMS.

There’s no vehicle description at this time, according to officials.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area while police investigate.
