At least 1 dead following crash on Route 44 in New Hartford: State police
At least one person is dead after a crash involving a tractor-trailer in New Hartford, according to state police.
The crash happened around 1:40 p.m. Friday and involved a tractor-trailer and a vehicle.
State police said at least one person has died in the crash.
Route 44 (Main Street) was closed between Town Hill Road (Route 219) and the Canton town line, the New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department said. It reopened around 6 p.m.
The state police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is investigating the crash.
