A teenager has been arrested in connection to a swatting incident in Killingly after a months-long investigation.
State police said in March, the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (State Police), the Killingly Resident Troopers Office, Killingly Police and the Killingly School District School resource officer began investigating swatting incidents.
After obtaining a search warrant on electronic devices and interviewing witnesses, a suspect was developed.
According to state police, the suspect is a 14-year-old female. She was summoned to juvenile court and is facing charges including false reporting of a large scale emergency, breach of peace and threat that caused an evacuation.
