Motorcyclist killed in crash in Madison
A motorcyclist has died after a crash at the intersection of Durham Road (Route 79) and Overbrook Road on Tuesday night.
Police responded to the motor vehicle accident involving an SUV and a motorcycle around 7:52 p.m.
The operator of the motorcycle died at the scene. The identity of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to police.
The police department and the South-Central Connecticut Accident Reconstruction team are actively investigating the cause of the accident.
The road was closed for several hours and reopened around midnight.
